Last week marked a significant milestone for the PARASOL Doctoral Network, as it convened for the first time during the EMC Europe 2023 conference in Kraków. The atmosphere was charged with excitement and anticipation as participants gathered to kickstart what promises to be a groundbreaking collaboration.
A key focus of the PARASOL project is the development and implementation of advanced shielding technologies. By exploring novel methods and materials, the network seeks to enhance electromagnetic compatibility while ensuring the safety of electronic systems and devices. The metaphorical “parasol” not only shields against the harsh rays of interference but also symbolizes our dedication to creating a protective canopy under which future technologies can thrive.
This project will use an interdisciplinary Safe and Sustainable by Design approach, bringing together expertise from four key areas: electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), materials engineering, system-safety engineering, and sustainability management.
