Yi Wang received her B.Sc. in Electronic and Information Engineering from the Northwest Agriculture & Forestry University, Yangling, China, in June 2017, and her M. Eng. in Electromagnetic and Microwave Technology from Sichuan University, Chengdu, China, in July 2020. During her Master’s studies, she investigated the rapid prediction of electromagnetic coupling in shielded cables penetrating a metallic shielding cavity. The findings were published in a journal paper and presented at 26th National EMC Conference in Chongqing, China.

From August 2020, Yi worked at ZTE Corporation as an RF Test Engineer for 4 years. Her responsibilities included testing the RF characteristics, power consumption, and reliability of base station devices, such as Radio Remote Units, for major clients like Vodafone, China Mobile, and China Telecom.

In November 2024, Yi joined the PARASOL project as DR5 and began working as an Early-Stage Researcher within the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Communication Technologies research group in the Department of Electronics Engineering at the University of York. Her research focuses on exploring time-domain shielding for on-board power electronics, providing tools for shielding on-board EMI generated by power electronic equipment, and optimising the trade-off between shielding and waveform control.
