Lirim Koraqi was born in Kaçanik, Kosovo, in 1996. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina” in September 2017. Later, he completed his master’s degree in Sustainable Transportation and Electrical Power Systems through the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree programme, which involved four collaborating institutions: the Sapienza University of Rome, the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra, the University of Nottingham, and the University of Oviedo, in September 2021. During his master’s studies, Lirim conducted his thesis at Schneider Electric in France on the topic “Adaptive Control of PMSM for Energy Saving”. Following this, he served as a motor control engineer at Schneider Electric until March 2023. Subsequently, he joined KU Leuven as a doctoral researcher within the PARASOL Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions programme. His PhD research focuses on developing low-frequency (LF) magnetic shielding characterization methods for planar materials.
